The density of the components of fiberglass composite rebar does not exceed 2.9 tons per 1 cubic meter, which is at least 3-4 times less than the density of steel rebar. The reinforced concrete structure with similar strengths is 9 times heavier than the composite rerebar structure.
The minimum weight facilitates the process of transportation, loading and unloading and installation of non-metallic products. Fiberglass rerebar is transported in coils without the use of specialized auto- and lifting equipment. The ease of composite rerebar is the reduction of the load on the strip or other type of foundation, protection from excessive subsidence of the soil, the appearance of cracks on the walls of the building.
The minimum weight makes the material in demand in various sectors: single-storey and multi-storey construction, road works, erection of objects with increased requirements for corrosion resistance.
